Zen Thermostat as part of Telstra Smart Home

Zen Thermostat is now officially available around Australia as part of Telstra’s Smart Home platform that launched in November and recently featured on The Block.

Market research firm Telstyte estimates that by 2019, the average household will have 24 Internet-connected devices.[1] The Telsyte Australian IoT @ Home Market Study forecasts spending on IoT home products and services in Australia to grow almost eleven-fold from $289 million in 2015 to $3.2 billion in 2019 and that by 2019, the average household will have 24 Internet-connected devices.

Leading this trend, Telstra Smart Home offers customers a new generation of services letting them control or monitor smart home devices through an app which makes it easy to talk to Smart Home devices, with customised automations.

The Telstra Smart Home App lets you talk to your Zen thermostat to automate your compatible home heating and cooling system to turn on when you want. It will also connect to other smart home devices including cameras, lights and sensors. Then you can watch your home come to life.

Michael Joffe Zen Ecosystems CFO commented, “Together Telstra and Zen are providing the technology of tomorrow with the confidence of the Telstra network behind it. The Zen Thermostat provides customers with a smarter home experience while empowering them to become better with energy management.”
